This revision 4 normally aspirated T bar is in lovely condition throughout and is in rare Carribian Blue metallic with stunning bespoke cream leather trim, topstiched in blue that we have only just fitted. The car is standard and unmodified other than a KYB adjustable street suspension system that is comfortable but lowers the car very slightly and improves its handling. She has a no-accident history and has all original panels and largely original paintwork, as well as all handbooks and 12 service stamps from new. We have just fitted a cam belt and clutch and will complete the service before delivery. Wheels are in good condition with few mark and no corrosion and tyres are good all round. The vehicle has anti lock brakes, air conditioning with automatic climate control, power steering, front fog lights, tinted glass, a double din Kenwood CD player with remote control and seperate amplifier, electric windows, central locking and remote controlled electric mirrors. We have just fitted a Thatcham Cat 2 immobiliser system, and would be happy to provide an estimate for any additional security required. On the road this car feels tight, handles well and pulls cleanly throughout the gears. I'd forgotten how much fun these little Toyotas are!

Toyota MR2 (SW20)........ The Original MR2 went through a complete redesign in 1989, when the new Mark II body was produced. The new MR2 was again a 2 seater with the engine mounted in the middle of the chassis. Designated SW20, it was longer, wider and heavier than its predecessor and had smoother bodylines. While the MK1 was a pure sports car, the SW20, being quite larger, could be classed as a GT-car. The car, especially in red, had a striking resemblance to the Ferrari 348tb and the Ferrari F355. When the SW20 went on sale in spring 1990, it was offered with three different engine choices depending on the market area. All engines were 1998 cc The most powerful engine was the turbocharged which was available in Japan at 220 hp (164 kW) (as the MR2 GT) . Europeans had to settle for the naturally-aspirated 156 hp engine. The Japanese MR2 GT model (MR2 Turbo) was able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. All European cars have a conventional 5 speed manual gearbox, although an auto was offered in Japan on the non turbo versions. The MK-II was offered with several choices of roof. Standard in the lineup was a hardtop coupe. Optionally the car could be ordered with either a T-top roof (commonly referred to as the T-bar option) or an electric moon roof option. All Japanese cars have power steering and air conditioning, although these initially were options on the UK examples. Electric windows, central locking and electric, retractable mirrors are fitted. A large centre console is at hand to store sunglasses etc and the drivers seat and steering column are adjustable. ABS is fitted to all turbo models and was an option on non-turbos, and most cars have alloys, rear spoiler and front fog lights, although leather / alcantara is quite rare. The MR2 is a great little sports car to own. Inside the cabin is spacious and, and while the engine note from the mid mounted engine is audible, it is unobtrusive and the car can be driven long distances in comfort. Top speed is over 140 MPH even for the non turbo engine and handling is fantastic in the way that only a mid engine car can be, though care needs to be taken in the wet. There is a fair luggage compartment at the rear of the car-large enough for a set of golf clubs, and the front area has enough space for soft bags. In terms of economy the MR2 is very good with over 30MPG easily obtainable when touring. The insurance group is 16. All the versions including the turbo have proved very reliable and parts for the car are easily available.
